Andrea Anderson, a born and raised local, has been teaching children of all ages for over 25 years. As a mother of five boys, she is a proponent of hands-on learning and teaching to all learning styles. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Andrea has helped lead several learning opportunities and social events in our homeschool community. After 15 years as a foster parent, three biological children and two adoptions, she is knowledgeable and sensitive to the many emotional and behavioral concerns in children. When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children and her new grandchild.

 

Bethany Estep is a lifelong Kentuckian. She holds a Bachelor’s in Botany from Berea College, and a Master’s in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University. With great enthusiasm, Bethany leads all levels of science classes and labs at Legacy Classical Collective from Nature Study to Botany to Chemistry and Astronomy. From the fauna and flora of the Caucasus Mountains and Australia to the heights and weather of Mt. Everest’s base camp, Bethany has visited or lived on six continents. Wife to Anthony and homeschool mom to two lovely little ladies, Bethany brings love of home, of Creation, and a delight in reading great literature to her classroom.

 

Alisha Strunk is a mother of five, a Mimi to four beautiful grandchildren and has been homeschooling for 14 years. She has a Bachelor's in General Studies with an emphasis in Political Science from EKU.  She also serves as the Children's Pastor at River of Life Church and is the Youth Programming Coordinator at Madison County Public Library. Alisha is devoted to the service of Jesus Christ by serving her family as well as others in the community. Her favorite subjects to teach are history, government and literature.  When she has free time, Alisha enjoys spending quiet moments with her husband, visiting with her adult children and snuggling with her grandkids.

 

Liz Thomas is a lifelong learner, sharing the journey with her husband and three sons. Originally from Alabama, she holds a Bachelor’s in Communication from Berea College, a Master’s in Classical Education from Belmont Abbey College, and is a CiRCE-Certified Master Teacher. Homeschooling in community for 16 years, Liz has led high school composition, literature and history with Schole Gathering and Classical Conversations, through the lens of pursuing Christ and living virtuously. Professionally, Liz worked as photographer, writer and copy editor for Kentucky Law Enforcement Magazine. Among her favorite things are books with short chapters, Shakespeare, Les Miserables, traveling near and far, and deep discussions of ideas and faith.
